Traditional talk therapy is designed to get you from 0 to 5. You start your sessions in pain — dealing with depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD — and you work diligently with your psychologist to try to reduce your symptoms.

I believe in psychotherapy. I’ve dedicated my career to helping my therapy patients manage their symptoms, find relief, heal from trauma, and hopefully end with the ability to live a normal life.

So often, however, I’ve wanted more for my patients. “Fine,” “normal,” or “symptom free” is not the apex of human experience — they’re really just the starting point. That’s where mindset coaching comes in. Positive psychology mindset coaching delivered by a doctoral level clinical psychologist is designed to get you from 5 to 10, from fine to thriving.
